New to paintball? It can be quite difficult working out all the terminology and figuring out what kind of paintball equipment you might want to purchase. We have loads of information all over the website but if you're still unsure what you're looking for or what you're looking at - take a look at our FAQs section or even the Paintball Blog which has information on all things paintball!
One of the first things you might purchase when you're getting into paintball is paintballs themselves. We have a really useful blog post about the different types of paintballs and when you should use each one. If you're interested in purchasing paintballs for use on a paintball site you should always check with the paintball site in advance as many recreational paintball sites won't let you bring your own paint. Check out our blog post for more information about the different types of paintballs you can use and which ones we recommend for each different paintball marker.
Another popular early-purchase is a paintball mask. If you're just getting into paintball, or you've been playing a while but are just thinking about buying your own equipment, you might think the most important thing to buy first is a paintball marker (gun). Whilst these are incredibly cool to browse through and you might be really keen to drop all your spare cash on one immediately, we'd always recommend you purchase a paintball mask first! We've written a guide to purchasing a paintball mask and advise you have a quick read through to gen up on your paintball mask knowledge!
We have a massive range of paintball markers and packages to match all budgets. Whether you're looking for a beginner paintball marker or marker package, or something more advanced, we stock every brand that is worth stocking and often have special pricing and discounts so you can even pick up a bargain! If you're just getting started and looking for a cheap paintball gun, check out our listings and we're sure you'll find exactly what you're looking for - and if not, just give us a ring and we'll talk through some options with you to help you find the right equipment for you.
Once you've bought a mask and a marker, you've got the main items covered but you'll need an air system of some description and a hopper to get you fully up and running. We've got a couple of guides to hoppers and air systems which provide some really useful background information when making decisions about your next purchase.
Check out the difference between air and co2 in our helpful guide here.
Take a look at our blog post all about the different hoppers available for all levels and budgets.
You don't have to purchase all your own equipment to play paintball as most paintball sites will supply all the equipment you need to play but if you want to get into paintball as a hobby or sport then it's worth getting to know about the equipment you can buy and how the equipment all fits together. There are a few different styles of play also - from playing in tournaments, to scenario games, to milsim events. There are events going on across the UK all the time which suit all standards and styles of play - some of which you need your own equipment for and at others you can hire equipment at the event.
