DESCRIPTION: Paintball is one of the most exhilarating, challenging and fun outdoor sports to play! At 6th Element Paintball, we use only the best equipment and fully trained, experienced marshals to ensure that your day is one to remember. The 6th Element site is located within a wooded river valley in the grounds of Witton Castle, in picturesque County Durham. Facilities at the castle are excellent and include car parking, indoor male and female toilets, fully licensed bar and a camp site, and is perfect for corporate teambuilding, and is certain to impress. Paintball is a very popular sport, but who plays? Well, a popular use for paintball is to show your appreciation of staff and customers. Why not bring your staff as a reward for exceeding targets or to develop team skills. You could bring your valued customers to say thank you and show how much you value their loyalty. School, college and university students will love the paintball experience, and paintball is ideal for the office party 'warm-up'. It is also an excellent way for fathers and sons to bond, and last but not least - the all important stag or hen party, or even hen and stag party! All packages at 6th Element Paintball include the hire of a fun and easy to use semi-automatic paintball marker, mask and goggles with full face and ear protection, a no-fog lens that won't mist up, camouflage overalls, battle pack, a baseball cap and thermal gloves. Hot and cold drinks are free on site all day, and free refills of compressed air to power the marker are available. 6th Element marshals are all trained in first aid and in the use and operation of the paintball markers, the site regulations and the game scenarios. They are all experienced paintball players themselves so it will be rare to have a problem that can not be dealt with quickly and efficiently. We have a washroom with a shower area, and the licenced bars and dining facilities at Witton Castle are excellent. The 6th Element site is located within a wooded river valley in the grounds of Witton Castle, County Durham. The site itself comprises a safe area where players can relax between games with a coffee or a cold drink, and eight game zones within the woods. Each zone has unique features, including bunkers, bridges, hills, steep slopes, dense pine and open greenwood, creating great opportunities for a wide range of game scenario's. On a normal day, we usually play between eight and ten games, and we try to vary the type of scenario played as much as possible. The river valley and steep slopes makes for some interesting game play! Some of our scenario's include the Flag Grab - the basic paintball scenario, played in a variety of game zones. Use the impressive terrain, hillsides and riverbanks to gain the best advantage over the other side. Decide who is attacking and who is staying to defend your base, and go for it!! Bunker Hill - a gentle hill, one defending bunker, five flags for the attackers to grab. How difficult could it be?! One of the most intense and most popular games at 6th Element. Defend the Bastille - an attack and defend scenario. Play it both ways in the course of the day. Communication is the key for the defenders. Crossing the river is the tough one for the attackers. Watch out for a version of this game with a twist and a traitor on each team! Secret Agents - escort 007 back to base through enemy territory. A tough one to play if you're one of the few assassins. Escort, there's more of you so count the assassins and keep Bond safe! Prisoners - You have one of their team, they have one of your team. Play the entire site to launch a rescue mission. One of the longer, more tactical creep-about games at Sixth Element. Flag in the Middle - One flag, two teams, total chaos! A variation of the basic flag grab, played in either zone 2 or 4. Armbands - Everyone out for themselves to hunt down armband trophies! Why not impress your customers and staff by inviting them to a fun day out paintballing. What could be better than playing in castle grounds and then having a meal in the castle itself...certain to impress anyone! Playing paintball provides the perfect opportunity to bond and act as a team. It really builds morale and gets the adrenalin rushing as everyone works together in an effort to accomplish the objectives set. Paintball as a corporate event offers real value for money compared to many other character building adventure sports, such as bungee and parachute jumps that can last only minutes. Paintballing can be staged to last an entire day. Your staff, work colleagues and customers are certain to appreciate this action packed day where everyone can participate, it's an excellent way to build communication, morale and loyalty, and so help ensure an increase in efficiency and profits! Paintball can help show the following qualities in staff: leadership; crisis management; resourcefulness; time management and team player. We will make sure that everyone will be impressed with the service and the quality of the games organised for them, and can tailor an event to suit any company or organisation budget. We would typically start at around 9.30-10am, but we are flexible and will work around you. When your group arrives you'll be directed to the castle bar for coffee and then to 'Ye Olde Haye Lofte', to be kitted out with all the latest equipment and given a safety talk. Once everyone is briefed it's off to the paintball site where the games and objectives will be explained by our Chief Marshal. Your group will play until the time you designate, then it's back to the castle bar for the presentation and prize, which is usually in the form of a small cup for the winning team and a special 'Rambo' prize, usually a t-shirt. Then it's off to the dining room for a well earned hearty meal. There is a wide selection available such as T-bone steak, mixed grill, scampi and much more. These must be ordered prior to arrival.
